Parrot Ecotours  Help Save Birds

If you’re interested in doing some travel, enjoying a wonderful experience and at the same time, possibly help a non-profit organization save a vanishing resource – you might want to consider signing up for Project Bird Watch’s Ecotours to Indonesia.

These tours are run by Project Bird Watch, a non-profit organization dedicated to wild Indonesian parrot conservation. The tours generate funds to help stop the trade (i.e. smuggling) of wild birds from that country. All the proceeds raised through these tours go to provide alternative income to the native villagers and aid in efforts to protect the native cockatoos and parrots.

These tours usually take place every year, and there are usually two different dates.

If you would like more information about the devastation of the wild parrot trade, they will have it on their website. You can also read The Wild Parrot Trade: STOP IT!
